Bible Speller — Complete Redesign — Released Today!

Released Today — Version 1.0.0!

Today the new version of the app rolls out. It is a complete redesign from the ground up. It has some issues but I wanted to get it out as quick as possible and update often to fix bugs and add features.

This version is a major improvement over the old version of the app. I will write more about this later but I have been working several hours straight and really need some food and sleep, lol. Until then, enjoy!

Compatibility!

Oh yeah, it is notable that the new version of Bible Speller will only be compatible with devices running Android 5.1 (which is Lollipop) and higher. The older version of the game will remain available for anyone with devices running older versions of Android.

As soon as those people are able to upgrade to an Android 5.1 or higher compatible device the new version of the app will be immediately available. At the time of this release only 2 users are currently on older versions of Android, though the old version will remain available to new users with older devices as well.

Player Stats Might Be Reset!?

Some of the old player statistics didn't make sense with the new version so they weren't included. For example, how many times a book had the wrong answer given, because the new version doesn't have a way currently to give a wrong answer.

Many of the statistics I would love to have roll-over into the new app. I tried to code it so that they would, but I have never done this before and have no way of testing this really. I won't know if it worked or not until I wake up later today and the app is already out for anyone to use.

If they are gone, I'm sorry.

Have you seen my latest app — CrossWord3D

Recently I started making another app with Unity! It uses both the verse of the day from Bible.com and from BibleGateway.com to generate daily 3D crossword puzzles. Check it (and my other free Christian apps) out on my developer page on the Play Store.
